Christening of the new launch of the Maritime and Airport Police Division in Monaco

H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, H.S.H. the Hereditary Prince Jacques and H.S.H. Princess Gabriella, attended today, in the presence of the Principality’s high authorities, the blessing by Monsignor David of the new star of the Maritime and Airport Police Division, named “Princess Gabriella”. H.S.H. Princess Gabriella, the godmother, released the cord holding the bottle (made of nougatine) which broke on the hull, as is the maritime tradition. Sirens and foghorns then sounded in the port to greet this baptism. The Flag was then hoisted to the sound of the anthem Monegasque played on trumpet. The ceremony concluded with the visit of the Princely Family aboard the launch.
