This is a new form of patronage that tends to relieve artists of the inherent costs related to the charges of renting a studio or apartment, but also electricity, insurance, etc.
This new form of aid is not intended to help with the production of a work or the organization of an exhibition, as these are already offered in many forms.
#MonArtistEtMoi offers support that contributes to the artist’s vital comfort. By trying to relieve him of these unavoidable expenses, we allow him to devote himself more serenely to creation.
But this project is also and above all a human story of putting a person in contact with an artist who will be accompanied throughout one year or more. It is the story of an exchange and mutual enrichment between two individuals from worlds that rarely meet and converge, out of modesty, lack of time or emotion. The artist will open to the patron the doors of his studio, offering him the possibility to discover the very place of creation. And the sponsor will open his personal and professional network to him, committing himself to offer him a maximum of visibility during the given period.
A patron is a person curious to discover another way of conceiving life, to know different values, to get out of his personal comfort. A patron is curious about the other.
Mrs Veronique de Lavenne, Hélène Flicker, and Marie-Théres Michel are delighted to announce that matali crasset is the godmother of the project and that she will accompany us in its development. And we count among our first patrons Mr. Majid Boustany, founder of the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation.
